Cook dinner
How did it go?
After dinner, Bryti asks how it went. Here is what your answers are used for. After dinner, tonight’s card asks How did it go?. You can answer with one tap. What you ate helps shape next week’s suggestions, and what you didn’t eat tells the list what’s still at home. You can answer in the chat too.
The four answers
- Cooked as planned: the dish counts as made, and its ingredients come off what the pantry thinks you have.
- Cooked with changes: works the same way, but you can also say what you changed. Your note stays on that day.
- Skipped: Bryti doesn’t learn about your tastes from this, since not cooking on a busy day doesn’t mean you dislike the dish. The week offers Plan the open days, so you can fill the rest of the week without starting over.
- Ate elsewhere: you didn’t have dinner at home tonight, and nothing comes off the pantry.
Worth knowingIf you finished in cook mode, the day is already marked as made. The card will then only ask if it went As planned with one tap, or Something else ….
The done card
After you answer, the card shrinks to one line: “Tonight · done · Made as planned · 2 portions in the pantry · Tomorrow: tacos”. If you tapped the wrong answer, Undo lets you open it again. If you recorded a dinner in cook mode, you can’t change it to “not made” in the follow-up. Use undo instead.Under Earlier this week, each day shows its answer: Cooked, Cooked, adapted, Ate out, or Skipped. What Bryti learns
Whether you liked a dish counts a little towards your tastes. It appears as learned on the Household page, and you can delete it like any other taste. Once you’ve answered for a day, replanning leaves it alone, and you’re never asked twice. When you choose Cooked as planned or Cooked with changes in the form, Did not go down well sits underneath. Tap it if the dish wasn’t a hit, and Bryti suggests it less often.Dishes you cook often turn up more in the suggestions, and recent dinners count most. A suggestion from your recipes may tell you why: “You have made it three times, last in March.”The fish soup was great, but the kids didn’t eat it
